Top 5 Things You Need to Binge Easter Weekend

So much television, so little time… Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 5 series to binge over the holiday weekend: March 30th, 31st and April 1st, 2018. For this list, we’re helping you plan your weekend by looking at the most binge-able new content that’s popping up on streaming services. Be sure to tune in on Monday for our MojoTalks rundown of this weekend’s binge session. #5: "Wild Wild Country" (2018) Netflix “Wild Wild Country” is a documentary series that, thanks to its subject, is almost impossible to put down. If you don't already know the story of Bhagwan Shree Rajnees and his cult of followers, there isn't much we can do describe this insane story. Seriously, this documentary is crazy. Don't go in expecting a big climactic pay-off however, as “Wild Wild Country” is more about giving it's audience an accurate and chilling perspective on the Rajneeshee cult, and cult life in general. There are, of course, still plenty of twists and a looming sense of incoming dread, that drives the story forward, making this six part series effortlessly bingeable. #4: "Trailer Park Boys" - Season 12 (2018) Netflix Yes, the boys are back, and yes, its just this are just as insane as ever. From its humble black and white beginnings as an independent Canadian comedy to its world-wide status as a cult comedy hit, it's hard to believe Trailer Park Boys is in its 12th season. While there have been a few lows along the way, rest assured season 12 doesn't disappoint, and while we're not calling it the best season ever, it definitely ticks off all the boxes. Julien is seemingly trying to go legit, Bubbles has new business ideas and Ricky... well... he's still Ricky. Don't worry though, there are still plenty of surprises and wild cards to keep this season fresh. #3: "Rapture" (2018) Netflix An 8 part documentary series, “Rapture” explores 2018's hip-hop scene by following artists Logic, Nas and A Boogie Wit a Hoodie just to name a few. Aiming for an honest and well-rounded representation of modern hip-hop. With many of the episodes created by different directors, the approach to every story is a little different, so the series never falls into a repetitive structure. Couple that with the variety music, artists and locations, “Rapture” offers entertainment, insight and perspective in spades. Wether you're a fan of hip-hop, or just curious about the series, binging this series will definitely pay off. #2 "ReBoot: The Guardian Code" (2018-) Netflix We're not actually suggesting you binge this, it sucks and you should avoid it. You're welcome. Fans of the CGI animated classic “ReBoot” have been clamouring for some kind of, um... reboot or, better yet, continuation of their beloved series. But everything that we all loved in the original, from its action and adventure, to charming animation and quicrky but smart humour has been systematically stripped away in “The Guardian Code”. Turning the show into a weird half live action half digital superhero mess, throwing in Megabyte and slapping a ReBoot logo on it is not what fans were asking for. #1: "A Series of Unfortunate Events" - Season 2 (2018) Netflix We arrive at the most binge-able entry on this week's list, its ironic that “A Series of Unfortunate Events” begins ever episode by telling it's audience to “look away”. Trust us though, thats just part of this show's charm, and if you haven't seen the first season yet, this long weekend may be your best opportunity to watch both seasons back-to-back. Season 2's 10 episodes continues to lovingly and faithfully adapt some of the best stories in the Lemony Snicket series, expanding on the increasingly bizarre world the Baudelaire children inhabit, with its dark tone, gorgeous sets and of course, NPH's fantastic performance as Count Olaf. While there may be a little drag from time to time, season 2 of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” is one of 2018's best offerings.
