#3: First Look at Josh Brolinâs Cable in âDeadpool 2â
Shortly after Deadpool fans were treated to a sneak peek of Zazie Beetzâs Domino look, Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter and graced fans with their first look at Josh Brolinâs Cable for âDeadpool 2â. The first picture was a closeup shot focusing on Brolinâs grey hair and facial features. Among them, the signature scars and cybernetic eye. Moments later, Reynolds posted a second picture, this time of Brolinâs full torso, revealing numerous pouches, a metal neck and a metal arm.

The similarities to the comic book character seemed to please most fans. Along with his huge gun and other military-like garb, another eye-catching item has some fans puzzled; the teddy bear attached to Cableâs belt. If the comics are any indication, was it his as a baby when he was taken into the future? Or does it belong to Hope Summers, who was hidden in the time stream in order for Cable to protect her? Either way. Josh Brolinâs Cable is a thumbs up.
#2: Darren Aronofsky Releases Disturbing First Trailer for âMother!â
Get ready to be shaken to your core. Darren Aronofsky is back, this time returning to his signature form that was present in âRequiem For A Dreamâ and âBlack Swanâ. âMother!â is a psychological horror film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem. When a strange couple shows up at their door and asks them for permission to stay, the dread is built up as Lawrenceâs character questions their motives, and how the visitors found their way to their secluded home.
The score by Johann Johannsson increases the tension as even more random people show up to their house, each person more mysterious than the next. As Lawrenceâs character seems to lose her mind, the audience is witness to creepy pictures, blood and the slow decay of the house. The trailer keeps the story under wraps, but enough dread is shown to give audiences a taste of whatâs to come September 15th.
#1: Disney to Remove All Their Movies from Netflix
This story doesnât have a fairytale ending⦠At least for one side. Netflix finds themselves atop headlines once more this week, after Disney announced that they would be removing all their titles from the platform with plans to include them on their own streaming service. With the majority of consumers watching their TV shows and movies on streaming sites, the move makes sense for Disney, who are looking to make a name for themselves in the streaming industry.
On top of the breakup, Disney is buying a majority ownership in the video-streaming company BAMTech for 1.58 billion dollars, the platform in which Disney will use to power their own streaming service. The news is tough for Netflix, whose stock dropped over 5 percent at the time of the announcement, but the company did somewhat counter the loss. Netflix made their first major acquisition, purchasing Millarworld, which holds the rights to stories such as âKingsmanâ and âKick-Assâ.
