Get In On This Exclusive Anime Experience
From the director and writer who managed to give us such gems as Ping-Pong: The Animation, The Taitami Galaxy and Space Dandy, Lu Over the Wall looks to be one of the most intriguing and heartfelt animated movies of the year. While its still fresh off the trail of its release in Japan earlier this year, fans in the UK are in luck with upcoming one-day screenings.
According to an article on Anime UK News –
With The Night is Short and Perfect Blue finishing their theatrical screens and Fireworks is next, we have one more title to conclude the theatrical run for 2017.
One of the many titles announced back at MCM London Comic Con last May, distributor Anime Limited will be bringing the second Masaaki Yuasa film â Lu Over the Wall (Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta) released earlier this year in Japan to the UK theatrical screens this December.

Summary –
Can a shared love overcome the fear that divides us?
Following his parentâs divorce, high schooler Kai moves to his fatherâs home in a rural fishing village, whose superstitions about mermaids force the young man to repress his desire to make music. When his classmates force him to join their band however, their melodies attract the affections of Lu, a mermaid whose joy will reveal that superstitions are just that and being different doesnât mean weâre not the same.
Sounds like the ideal early Christmas present!
