From its stunning graphics, incredible world-building, instantly memorable characters all the way to its treasure trove of content, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt managed to raise the bar for video games everywhere. Even newcomers who had never heard of Geralt of Rivia found themselves utterly enraptured by the White Wolf’s bloody antics. And that’s even before they tackled both of its masterful DLCs. But which moments stood out above the rest?

#10: Witcher Reunion
While they spend most of their days hunting down monsters, that doesn’t mean Witchers don’t like to have a drink once in a while. When Geralt, Lambert and Eskel get together though, you can expect things to get a little crazy…
#9: The Play’s the Thing
Ever wanted to see Geralt take part in a Shakespearean performance? Well too bad, because he does, and its just as hilariously awkward as you would expect.
#8: Yennefer’s Unicorn
Turns out that Geralt’s one true love is into some kinky stuff, and by kinky we mean she likes to make sweet love while on top of a taxidermy unicorn.
#7: Baby in the Oven
A lot of us wondered what we were doing with our lives when we found ourselves throwing a baby into an oven in order to defeat a wraith who was possessing a jarl’s fractured psyche. Don’t worry, it doesn’t end as horrifically as you’d think.
#6: Ciri Confronts the Crones of Crookback Bog
Revenge is sweet, especially when it involves manipulating time in order to slice apart the three beastly women that tried to feast on Ciri’s blood a while back.
#5: Vesemir’s Sacrifice
The aged wolf was a father figure to many, including Ciri and Geralt, so seeing him meet his end in order to give Ciri a chance to escape was downright heartbreaking.
#4: Wedding Shenanigans
Geralt gets put through the wringer on this one, as he has to let his body be possessed by a party-loving ghost. As a result, we get to see a much more lighthearted version of the normally stoic Witcher.
#3: Geralt Finds Ciri
After so much searching and innumerable battles, Geralt is finally reunited with the woman he regards as his daughter. This meeting manages to lay on the feels twice over, given how we are initially led to believe Ciri has perished, only for her to awaken at the height of he father figure’s grief.
#2: Family Matters
The Blood Baron’s story was one filled with remorse and tragedy right until its end. Even after finding his wife, the Crone’s curse ensured she is not long for the world. With nothing left, all the Baron could do was hang himself for all of Velen to see.
#1: Ciri and Geralt Part Ways
The game’s best ending isn’t without its bitter edge. After preventing the White Frost from consuming the world, Ciri decides she must live up to her responsibilities as empress. As a result, she and Geralt must drift apart once again, but under the promise to find each other again.
