Top 3 Villains That Need To Be In The New Titans Series

Titans, GO!

While fans were more than elated to hear that Young Justice was going to be getting a third season, they were left rather sceptical when it was announced that the Teen Titans would be getting their own live action series. While in the same vein as Arrow and The Flash, it would also serve as the breakout show for DC’s new direct-to-consumer digital service. As such, we’re all feeling a little trepidatious. The last thing we want for a show about our favourite group of young superheroes is to follow in the footsteps of Marvel’s Inhumans or even Teen Titans Go.

We’re still holding out hope though, especially if the manage to really nail the eponymous group, as well as reintroduce some of their iconic villains from the comics and previous TV shows. Maybe it will defy all expectations and be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes of DC’s other success stories.

#3: Control Freak

So long as the series doesn’t take itself too seriously, we see no reason why one of the funniest villains from its animated counterpart shouldn’t show up. With the power to drag his foes into the world of television, this evil couch potato could serve as the catalyst for an unlimited amount of fourth wall breaking!

#2: Red X

With the amount of Batman universes that are floating around at the moment, its hard to say whether the likes of Jason Todd/The Red Hood would even be viable to make a cameo. To that, we say why not use the next best thing? One of the most enigmatic and beloved side characters from the original Teen Titans cartoon, this anti-hero would serve as the perfect foil for Robin, not to mention get all the best lines.

#1: Deathstroke

They would have to borrow him from the Arrowverse, but you can’t have a Titan series without at least mentioning their greatest enemy. A genius, battle-hardened mercenary capable of taking out multiple superheroes at once, there’s no one better suited to star as the show’s ongoing antagonist than Slade Wilson.
