According to your votes, here are the top 3 classic Disney animated movies that kept your parents and adults alike just as interested as you, or perhaps, even more. If you want to take part in the voting or to find out what other movies made the list, you can find the it HERE and use your MyMojo account to contribute!

#3: Aladdin

Aladdin” follows the story of a poor young beggar in the Arabian city of Agrabah who, in the hopes of marrying Princess Jasmine, finds himself tangled in a dangerous web of power and greed held together by a magical lamp inhabited by an exuberant genie. While the film itself includes some classic musical scenes and an Academy Award winning score that anyone can enjoy, it was truly Robin Williams’ portrayal of the genie that kept adults interested and entertained. We’ll find out soon enough if Will Smith can live up to the role as the live-action remake of the classic Disney film is set to release in May 2019. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new film even features more progressive themes that adults will take to, with Naomi Scott stating about her portrayal of Jasmine: “She’s a multidimensional woman, and she doesn’t have to just be one thing,” “So in this movie, you see her go on such a roller coaster, as opposed to her one goal being to fall in love or get married.”

#2: Toy Story

If not for the universality of nostalgia, this 1995 animated film definitely hit a soft spot across all age groups through it’s feel-good songs and well-developed sense of humour, not to mention the appeal of having Tom Hanks and Tim Allen play the two main characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Toy Story speaks to the kid in all of us through a comedic yet sincere storyline that follows a young boy, growing up and finding an interest in a new, popular toy who threatens the dynamic established by his existing toys. With the original film receiving an impressive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, followed by two sequels and now a fourth film set to release in June 2019, Toy Story definitely gets a seal of approval from everyone, to infinity and beyond.

#1: The Lion King

It’s official, everyone can feel the love tonight. Even with a tragic catalyst to start off the movie, The Lion King develops into a charming and gratifying adventure, with a young lion named Simba looking to regain his father’s throne from his wicked uncle Scar, thanks to the help of his playful comedic-relief friends Timon and Pumbaa. The fascination also comes from a cast of recognizable names that any parent/adult watching would love including Matthew Broderick as Simba (Bueler…Bueler…), Rowan Atkinson as Zazu, Whoopi Goldberg as Shenzi, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Nathan Lane as Timon, and more. The film’s live-action version is set to release in summer 2019 featuring stars like Beyoncé, Donald Glover, John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner, which means no worries for the rest of this film’s days.
