Are You Team Betty?
With the mid-season finale of “Riverdale” leaving fans on edge last week and the next episode only being released in the new year, we thought we’d fill the void by reminiscing in some of our favourite moments from the show’s very own Betty Cooper, Lili Reinhart. This young actress has quickly become a Hollywood favourite, so for this list we’re looking at all of our favourite pop culture moments involving Lili, like when she tested her teen drama knowledge, fact checking beauty tutorials, her met gala appearance, her friendship with Camila Mendes, her talking photoshop, her glamour speech and more!
#5: Vogue Beauty Secrets
In June of 2018, Lili starred in Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets†series. In this short video, she walks us through her everyday makeup routine, and even while filming for the most prestigious fashion magazine in the world, manages to be totally relatable by eating Chinese food in the bathroom. She is also open about suffering from acne breakouts, something that she addresses often on social media, making us realize that even the stars we idolize are just like us. Not to mention, the simple look she puts together is just flawless.
#4: Her Social Media Dynamic with Cole Sprouse
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse were a fan favorite couple long before they were officially together in real life, but ever since they went public with their relationship they’ve been almost heartwarmingly adorable at every turn. In their more serious moments, they post gorgeous photos of one another or write heartfelt posts, but more often they’re trolling each other or having hilarious banter that shows us just what they’re like as a couple. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that these two are in it for the long haul!

#3: Playing Betty on “Riverdaleâ€
We couldn’t leave Lili’s breakout role off the list! Reinhart is famous, of course, for playing Betty Cooper on “Riverdaleâ€, a show that’s become a pop culture sensation since it hit screens in 2017. While it seemed at first that the actress would be playing the part of the sweet as pie blonde from the “Archie†comics, the Betty of the show has a dark side that we never would have seen coming. We can’t imagine anyone else tackling the role with the same angle, and we can’t wait to see where her acting career goes next.
#2: Talking Photoshop
While Lili Reinhart’s online persona is typically filled with positivity, she sometimes needs to address serious issues that are taking place in her industry. One thing that she’s passionate about is not photoshopping women’s bodies, and she’s been vocal about it on several occasions. She said that she never photoshops photos of herself, and called out a magazine for digitally slimming down her and her costar. In a message to Cosmo Philippines, she wrote, “It’s sad that you felt our bodies needed to be slimmed down. But Camila and I are f***ing beautiful. As is. And you can’t ‘fix’ us.†Damn!
#1: Glamour Speech
If it wasn’t clear before, Lili Reinhart cemented herself as a champion of body positivity in her speech at Glamour’s 2018 Women of the Year Summit in November. She’d made her views on the topic clear in the past, but in this speech she eloquently told her own story about her journey to a positive self image, and in the process made a rousing plea for others to do the same. For such a young actress, it’s refreshing to see how much perspective she has in an industry that certainly makes it difficult. Lili, you’re an inspiration to us all!
