#2009vs2019, the #10YearChallenge, #HowHardDidAgingHitYouChallenge or whatever else you call it, this decade transformation challenge has taken our feeds by storm and we’re most definitely riding the wave. Over on our YouTube channel, WatchMojo.com, we counted down our favorite celebrity posts from this early 2019 viral trend for our Top 10 Best 2009 Vs 2019 Transformations. This list included hilarious and shocking throwbacks from stars like Brie Larson, Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson, Jessica Biel and more, but it was our #1 pick of Pharrell Williams that made us gasp. He doesn’t age?! If you thought his transformation photo (which you can check out in the video linked here) was legendary, these 5 celebrities haven’t changed in the past 10 years either. Vampires? Wizards? We may never know the truth.
#5: Lori Loughlin
There may be 20 years between her claim to fame as Rebecca Donaldson–Katsopolis on the original ABC sitcom that shaped the early years of many, “Full House” and its more recent sequel “Fuller House”, but clearly time has had no effect on Lori Loughlin. Since 2009, she’s wrapped-up her work on the TV series “90210”, starred in the mystery TV film series “Garage Sale Mystery”, worked on the TV series “When Calls the Heart”, joined her old cast-mates in the 2016 Netflix reboot “Fuller House” and of course, raised her two daughters Olivia and Isabella. So what’s the secret to her agelessness? According to Lori: “I don’t get excessive sun, I get rest, I eat right. I think it’s really important. What you put in is what you reflect outwardly.†Noted!
#4: Viola Davis
She may look the same, but in the past 10 years, Viola Davis has managed to star in groundbreaking and critically acclaimed films like “The Help” (2011), “Fences” (2016) and last year’s “Widows”, as well as working tirelessly on the hit ABC drama series “How to Get Away With Murder” (2014-2018) where she plays Annalise Keating, a criminal defence attorney/professor that teaches her students exactly what the title suggests. Since 2009, she’s won an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, and a Tony Award, i.e. the Triple Crown of Acting, but somehow her hard work has only enhanced her sophisticated style and natural beauty. Is success the secret to immortality???

#3: Reese Witherspoon
We’ll have whatever she’s been having for the past 10 years please!!! Reese Witherspoon was well established far before 2009, given her iconic performance as Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde” in 2001, her cameos in “Friends” and her memorable role in “Walk the Line” (2005) as Johnny Cash’s second wife June Carter, that earned her an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA award for Best Actress in 2006. According to her tweet below, a 10 year difference of continued work in notable pieces like the recent HBO series “Big Little Lies” and raising her two daughters, simply means letting her hair grow out and having a little bit of fun! Not to mention, she’s currently in pre-production for “Legally Blonde 3”, which considering her transformation photo, they could pretty much pick up right where they left off.

#2: Ellen DeGeneres
Alright, her wardrobe, hair and makeup may have undergone a few minor updates, but Ellen’s position on our list all boils down to the hilariously mirrored hand placement in her #10yearchallenge. The foundation to her global success took place before 2009, with her popular sitcom “Ellen” running from 1994 to 1998, followed by her TV talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, from 2003 until today. She’s raked in numerous Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards in the past 10 years, an outstanding amount of People’s Choice Awards (what can we say, the people love her) and she successfully took on the daunting role of hosting the Oscars in 2007 and 2014. Her career has skyrocketed, but her witty humour and resting position didn’t require any updates.
#1: John Legend
Chrissy Teigen has pretty much become a social media phenomenon in recent years, with her hilariously unfiltered Twitter presence throwing many off-guard, so to say we expected a lot from her #2009vs2019 post is an understatement and it’s safe to say, she delivered. Since 2009, Chrissy and John have had two children, Luna in 2016 and Miles in 2018, meaning, although she still looks amazing, the model/host/cookbook author has definitely gone through some unavoidable physical changes, unlike John apparently. John’s career has continued to flourish since 2009, with persistent success in the music industry, as well his recent acting triumphs in films like “La La Land” (2016) and “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” (2018), making him the first African-American man to win an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony). Transformation or not, these two are still Hollywood’s power couple.
