We finally have a release date for the newest “The Batman” film, but no Bruce Wayne??? News broke yesterday that Matt Reeves’ upcoming iteration of this beloved DC Comics character will finally be flying on to the big screen June 25th, 2021. While this announcement gave fans an immediate burst of excitement, it also came with some interesting news. Ben Affleck, who played the Gotham City hero in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice”, “Suicide Squad” and “Justice League” has officially stepped down and has made room for a new contender to play a younger rendition of Bruce Wayne in this new film. Whether you’re upset or still unsure about the situation, he seems to have made it clear in the tweet below that he’ll merely be a spectator this time around:
