A Whole New Trailer
Disney decided to make a comeback after their initial “Aladdin” teaser that made people question the upcoming live action remake of such a beloved film, largely due to Will Smith’s CGI-heavy portrayal of Genie. They released a full-length trailer today and this one goes into much more detail, developing on the main storyline between Mena Massoud’s Aladdin, Will Smith’s Genie, Naomi Scott’s Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari’s Jafar. This time, we get teased with the musical numbers we know and love, including Smith’s (much less blue) performance of “Friend Like Me”, which includes some…rapping? Well, I’m sure there are more surprises and nostalgic moments in store when “Aladdin†hits theatres May 24th, but until then, check out the trailer below!
