drethemusicman talks about how playlist culture may be interfering with the music we love. Being able to skip songs within our streaming platforms means that we may not be allowing songs to grow on us anymore, and some songs need a little time in order for a listener to fall in love. Going from physical formats like vinyl records and CDs to the stream means we need to adjust our listening habits if we want to catch those deep cuts, there may be more to an album than the catchy singles.
