Butters often sings to himself when alone and usually gets cut off before finishing. The first time he sang this song was in the episode "You Got F'd in the A". The lyrics vary depending the episode. The most complete performance of the song is in "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset", just before Paris Hilton abducts him thinking he is a pet.

The song described the story of how the Church of Latter Day Saints, known as Mormons, was founded by Joseph Smith. It describes the founding of the church sarcastically, even singing "dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb" in the background. This was likely done due to lack of evidence to prove that Joseph Smith found the gold plates, as well as talked to God.
