Glam bands were very similar. Thrash on the other hand, had the speed of Slayer, the melody of Megadeth, and the heaviness of Metallica.

Glam: 80s was the high point, nowadays, some Emo bands do the same while the old bands are still alive, and the only modern version seen (that ik of) is Steel Panther

Glam is mostly dead. Thrash still lives on with Megadeth and Slayer.
