R rating. Lots of depictions of humans eaten by sharks. One man is eaten on screen. A shark is blown into bits which includes blood in the water. Yeah....

I'd keep it's PG-13 rating. It's a movie for preteens. Therefore, I would keep the rating. It also has violence and a shocking scene with a severed arm so...

This def needed a PG-13. Whenever people are shot it's just dust clouds, no blood. If I remember correctly, the movie's R rating came from the fact that some cops are shot and killed, but idk. This is a good introduction to action movies. Although it deals with existential stuff.
