Top 10 Anime Characters That Are Highly Divisive Between Fanbases
Though she has her moments and a solid fanbase (mainly thanks to her immediately-post-time-skip bout of Character Development), her subsequent reChickification and Aesop Amnesia has not been very well-received by her fans, let alone by her non-fans.
His Chick Magnet status and the way the story tends to focus on him instead of on arguably more interesting characters are also huge points of contention. For some, these points make him almost unbearable to watch, while others don't mind them and argue they're just blown out of proportion by the detractors.
I'm actually surprised by this, I honestly love Toshiro and find him awesome. He is the only sensible captain looking into Aizen 's mysterious death, his growth is about him cotnrolling his Shikai and Bankai plus his fights are pretty damn cool.

ans typically either like Jellal's development through the series, or dislike how he's essentially a Spotlight-Stealing Squad who makes Erza look like a Satellite Character whenever he's around. There's also a middle ground who considers him a great addition to the series, but one who's overstayed his welcome.
In addition, the choice of having a middle-aged bespectacled man with a poodle's body, rather than the more traditional Jinmenken has also gotten mixed views. Though this is largely a case of first impressions

Many fans got turned off by him, due to being a hero who cannot help himself from having his way with men. Some think he redeemed himself by being heroic but others, especially some of the LGBT fanbase, think he should be cut off from the story.
