A victim of overambition. The ability to travel through an entire galaxy full of planets is impressive in its own right, but it's all pointless when the planets, resources, and wildlife are all just reskinned versions of the same 4 or so architypes. The gameplay also gets boring and repetitive quickly.

Fans were hyped for this game being a long awaited return for Nintendo to the Star Fox series. But what we got was a game that's got bad graphics, a short, 3-hour campaign, and forced, divisive gamepad controls.

A mishandled Kickstarter campaign, numerous delays, and the final product looking like a pale imitation of Mega Man rather than a spiritual successor make this a recipe for a disappointing experience.

The game is an incredibly fun love letter to the old-school platforming and adventure games of old, but it's ultimately let down by technical problems and the last half of the game embracing the worst tropes of old-school platformers like unfair jumping puzzles and tedious collection quests.
fast travel not a staple of GTA style games and is not the real problem is no end game content that would make you keep playing

It certainly was the biggest game of 2016 in terms of audience with a promise almost too good to be true. Sadly the launch was plagued with technical issues, a lot of promised features were missing and what was available started to get boring after a while.

Whereas AC Chronicles: China is a flawed, but enjoyable experience, India & Russia are both just flawed. Climax Studios not only failed to fix the problems of the original game, they added new ones on top of them like unfair stealth sections with one-hit deaths.
