Obviously: It's easy for him to despise super heroes and especially Mr. Incredible; His arrogance towards Buddy angered him. Then again, Buddy never truly knew how to be a hero.

He definitely went off the rails when his Daughter disappeared in the experiment at the hands of Alistair Krei; losing family can do that to you; however, he did get his daughter back in the end but he still got a lengthy prison term to boot.

He got abandoned and that really traumatized him and he thought if he can't have a child to play with him no one could
He believed the earth was done for and that by staying on the ship forever, the humans would survive; hence why he fought to destroy the plant and WALL-E himself.
Even if he did has justifiable actions, he tried to kill a little boy. is no one seeing how messed up that is?

there's definitely justice on his part; he felt betrayed by his employer when he was passed over as the sole beneficiary in her will, instead it all went to her cats.
