Don't rely on 'Bravheart' for an accurate portrayal of Edward I. While he was ruthless and tempermental, the movie exaggerates his characters for drama purposes. It doesn't mention that he was a devout Catholic who gave generously to charity or that he was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife Eleanor

Carlos V, Holy Roman Emperor and Isabel of Portugal
In memory of Isabel, Carlos commissioned several tributes to her, including Thomas Crecquillon's "Mort m'a prive" andTitian's Portrait of Empress Isabel and La Gloria, which he kept with him during his travels and retirement.
Contrary to what is portrayed in "The White Princess", Henry and Elizabeth never sorely hated each other; they barely spent any time together before their wedding, so there was no premartial rape. Henry was never unfaithful and Elizabeth never had an affair with her uncle Richard III.
