This is honestly the cutest moment in the series, and is one of the first full Tamaki and Haruhi moments we get throughout the anime. It also holds a lot of weight as it tells us about how much Tamaki cares about Haruhi already, and develops Haruhi as a character with fears that crop up later in the series.
