I believe this is the best battle as this was the one you really want to jump out of your seat and cheer for Charizard! Plus it was after so much time after Charizard evolved that he actually listens to Ash's commands and defeats the final gym battle in Kanto (Gym battle w/Team Rocket doesn't count).
