Zuko has one of the most satisfying and complete character arcs I've ever seen, with a complexity and depth to him not seen in many "Kids" TV shows (or any TV show, for that matter). I especially love how he has to deal with all the mistakes he made after he finally switches sides, and how he has to work to gain everyone's trust.
Then he falls for Buffy and finds himself struggling as hard as he possibly can to redeem his past actions, and became the first ever vampire to fight for his soul. As opposed to Angel, who had his sould forced upon him.
