Claude kills him by taking his soul. Although the death itself isn't overly showy or gruesome, seeing Alois tearfully trying and failing to sweet-talk Claude into sparing his life (Especially since he used flattery to make his way to his position) makes it super satisfying. Pardon me if I was too morbid.
