The curse of the Bambino may sting, but of all the times they could end it (Bill Buckner's error) it was agony for the Boston Red Soxs fan base. Down 0-3 in the ALCS, it looked no different. However, the soxs rallied to win the pennant and swept the St. Louis Cardinals ending the misery

With a dark moment involving the Black Soxs Scandal in your teams history and no World Series win since before, you wish, hope and pray for redemption. The day of redemption came in 2005, with the Chicago White Soxs sweeping the Huston Astros and bringing a World Series Championship back to Chicago

The longest World Series drought wasn't always the Chicago Cubs. The Philadelphia Phillies were the previous owners of that distinction. After only 2 series appearences since, the Phillies finnally won it all in 1980 by defeating the Kansas City Royals 4 games to 2
it started a dynasty as the Blackhawks won in 2013 and 2015

After winning the first two Super Bowls, the Packers never returned until a new franchise QB came to town; Brett Farve. The Green Bay Super Bowl drought was easily ended with a 35-21 victory over the New England Patriots, and the Packers have been post-season contenders since.
