They were known as the "Lovable Losers" with their massive fan base foolishly believing that it would happen someday. When it finally did happen, boy was it sweet! Facing elimination against the Cleveland Indians, the Cubs forced one of the most memorable Game 7s in history to end the longest drought in history. The loyalty rewarded.

The curse of the Bambino may sting, but of all the times they could end it (Bill Buckner's error) it was agony for the Boston Red Soxs fan base. Down 0-3 in the ALCS, it looked no different. However, the soxs rallied to win the pennant and swept the St. Louis Cardinals ending the misery

With a dark moment involving the Black Soxs Scandal in your teams history and no World Series win since before, you wish, hope and pray for redemption. The day of redemption came in 2005, with the Chicago White Soxs sweeping the Huston Astros and bringing a World Series Championship back to Chicago

The State of Michigan lives and breaths hockey. So when their NHL team doesn't bring home the Stanley Cup for 36 years, frustration ensues. That is until 1997, when the Red Wings make a finals appearance that ends with them sweeping the Philadelphia Flyers and bring a winning tradition back to Detroit

After winning the first two Super Bowls, the Packers never returned until a new franchise QB came to town; Brett Farve. The Green Bay Super Bowl drought was easily ended with a 35-21 victory over the New England Patriots, and the Packers have been post-season contenders since.
