the language is a rearrangement of the alphabet. Each letter has been replaced by another. The language can be translated by locating Al Bhed Primers through the game. Each Al Bhed Primer will convert a letter into its English placement. Collect all 26 primers and you'll be able to understand what the Al Bhed are saying via the subtitles.
