The only other case where the complete non-existence of a parent is perfectly justified. Kanga also deserves the #1 spot over Gepetto because her motherly nature extends to all the other characters too.

Technically, Goofy did have a wife. But the reboot that retooled Junior into the Max that we all know left her out. And somehow they made it through the original, AND the direct-to-DVD sequel, without it ever coming up.
