Killian is a different man then when we first saw him. By falling in love with Emma, he was able to shed his darkness, help Emma shed hers and learn he can be a hero as well along with having a family.
Regina has grown a lot throughout the series, she has learned from her past mistakes and has learned to be a proper mother (even though she does have to share custody)

Omg this child irritates me to no end. If it wasn't for the fact his death would crush Regina, I'd be all for it.
