Formed in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, AC/DC found their earliest success in their native country. After releasing their albums in the U.S. and touring outside of Australia in the late 1970s, the band began to receive international recognition. Their breakthrough was "Highway to Hell," but this success was marred by the death of singer Bon Scott. However, AC/DC continued on with Brian Johnson and went on to even bigger success in with the album "Back in Black" and they are still going strong today.
