Time's up when it comes to sexual harassment and abuse. What is this movement?On January 1st, 2018, the group, known as Time's Up, published a manifesto in The New York Times. In this letter, they pay tribute to the groups of more than 700,000 female agricultural workers who had published their own empowerment manifesto in November, as well as all women everywhere seeking an end to sexual harassment and assault in the workplace. 2017 will forever be known as the spark for the renewed societal efforts to eliminate sexual misconduct in all its forms.Though it was far from the first time deeply alarming allegations had come out against powerful men in Hollywood (and beyond), the exposure of Harvey Weinstein's abuse inspired women to bravely come forward to speak out against, tragically, so many other men in the entertainment industry. read more...
