It’s not just informative - it’s hilarious, too! Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 funniest “MythBusters” moments.

For this list, we’ll be looking at the funniest, goofiest, and most lighthearted moments from “MythBusters.”

#10: Rocket Car
“Jet-Assisted Chevy”

The MythBusters came flying out the gate. Quite literally. In the first of three pilot episodes, the team decided to test the veracity of a rocket car. The results were...quite surprising and hilarious, to say the least. The crew strapped three rocket motors to a Chevy Impala, activated the rockets, and watched it blast out of sight. The car shoots away at high speed and leaves the filming crew literally in its dust. Even Jamie laughs in amusement, and that never happens! Maybe they didn’t confirm the myth, but it was a heck of a lot of fun regardless.

#9: Paint Bomb
“Mind Control”

Painting is kind of a bittersweet experience. The end result can be beautiful and exciting: a fresh dash of color can liven up a room, make it feel fresh and new, and give the space a bit of personality. But the painting process itself is a real bummer. So, the MythBusters decided to see if you could quickly paint a room… with a stick of dynamite. The results weren’t exactly surprising. All they got was a haphazardly painted room and some shrapnel-damaged walls. Looks like you’ll just have to suck it up and keep painting the old fashioned way.

#8: Beating Motion Sensors with a Bed Sheet
“Crimes and Myth-Demeanors 2”

The beauty of “MythBusters” is that they actually do confirm some silly myths -and leave you shaking your head in bemusement. In episode 59, the Build Team were testing out various ways of beating an ultrasonic motion sensor. They tried stealth suits made from rug and fiberglass with little success. The one thing that did beat the sensors? A bed sheet. No, we’re not kidding. Kari simply held an everyday bed sheet in front of her body and walked through the course without a care in the world. No one could believe the results, but there you have it!

#7: Jesus Motorcycle
“Motorcycle Water Ski”

In later seasons, the “MythBusters” began testing viral videos. 99% of them are obviously fake, but every now and then they’d present one that would have you tilting your head and saying “Well, maybe…” This is one of those. The myth states that a motorcycle traveling at freeway speeds can drive over water, Jesus style. They first got supercross racer Eric McCrummen to ride over 100 feet of open water, which he handily accomplished. Jamie later donned the helmet himself and rode across 300 feet of water, proving the myth and leading some to question whether Jamie might be the second coming!

#6: Using Paper to Get Past a High Tech Security System
“Crimes and Myth-Demeanors 2”

If there’s one thing this list teaches you, it’s that it can be stupid easy to get past high tech security systems - you just need the right technique. In the same episode as the famous bed sheet fiasco, the MythBusters attempt to get past Grant’s high tech fingerprint lock. After obtaining his fingerprint on a CD, the team transcribed it onto various materials. And every single one worked flawlessly! The latex worked, the ballistic gel worked, and wouldn’t you know it, even a simple paper copy of the thumbprint worked. So, before you drop thousands on a fingerprint scanner, just remember - someone might be able to beat it with a simple photocopy.

#5: Tory Makes Kari Puke
“Snow Special”

Working on “MythBusters” is undoubtedly a lot of hard work, so it’s nice to see the crew members letting off some steam and having some fun - even if that includes making each other puke. To test one myth, the crew needed to coat a pig’s tongue in saliva. In order to do this, everyone on the crew spat into a beaker over the span of a week. Wanting to prank Kari, Tory filled another beaker with water, swapped it out with the spit beaker, and drank it in front of her. Needless to say she was disgusted and threw up in the shop. Now that wasn’t very nice of him. Hilarious, but not nice.

#4: Kari’s Bust
“Laws of Attraction”

Sometimes the MythBusters tackle social experiments. In this episode, they were seeing if servers with larger breasts received larger tips. To test the myth, they sent out Kari in various forms of “bustiness.” The first two tests, in which Kari reduced her breast size and used her normal size, yielded $72 in tips. But when she augmented her breasts to DDD size, she received $98. Maybe that’s no surprise. But what is surprising is that males tended to give 30% more in tips, whereas females gave 40% more! Kari thinks this reaction is “primal.” What do you think?

#3: Motion Sickness Can Be Cured with a Placebo
“Seasickness - Kill or Cure”

The human mind should never be underestimated. Through the power of suggestion, it can be made to believe some pretty incredible things. Case in point - Grant’s motion sickness. In this episode, the team was testing the best cures for motion sickness. Said “cures” involved a tongue spray, ginger pills, and an electroshock wrist band. In the end, Grant was given a supposed seasickness medication and claimed that it was the most effective remedy of them all. However, he had actually taken vitamin B12 pills, so all of his previous results were thrown out. Sometimes it really is just mind over matter.

#2: Swimming in a Pool of Syrup
“Swimming in Syrup”

For some bizarre reason, the MythBusters decided to see if humans can swim through syrup as fast as we can swim through water. And there was only one way to test it - by jumping into a pool of syrup! Adam and Jamie made a syrup from guar gum and water, and it proved so thick and resistant that Jamie bailed on the test out of sheer exhaustion. They later performed a few more tests with less viscous syrup before deeming the myth plausible. Interesting though the findings might be, they get largely overshadowed by just how strange it is seeing grown men swim through a massive pool of sticky syrup. It’s the stuff that childhood dreams are made of!

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

“There’s Your Problem!”
“Salsa Escape”
Gun Cotton Failure
“Exploding Pants”

Jamie’s Dirty Teeth
“Steam Cannon”

The Earwax Candle
“Mini-Myth Mayhem”

Adam Roasts Jamie
“Penny Drop”

#1: Loudly “Sneaking” Through the Air Ducts
“Crimes and Myth-Demeanors 1”

As we’ve seen on this list, it can be incredibly easy to break through various high tech security systems. But is soundlessly moving through air ducts as easy as the movies make it look? Well, yes and no. Yes, in that physically suction-cupping your way through the ducts is doable. No, in that you’d make a deafening racket while doing so that you’d alert EVERYONE to your location. It’s especially hilarious to see and hear Jamie clanging, clattering, and banging around in the duct with the magnets while he’s trying to be stealthy, and it’s even funnier seeing the crew’s amused reactions. Stick to the photocopied thumb prints, because you certainly aren’t getting in through the air ducts!
