#5: Jamie Foxx Dances Like Donald Glover

“18th BET Awards” (2018)

This is Childish Gambino - aka Donald Glover. During the 2018 BET Awards, host Jamie Foxx took the time to highlight an important song and music video of our time. As he started to honor the message and impact of Childish Gambino’s “This Is America”, he slowly went into recreating the dance from the video. We knew Foxx had skills, but this is more on point than we could’ve imagined. Not only did it make Donald Glover and everyone else laugh, but the impromptu moment that followed won’t soon be forgotten. After getting more serious about the star’s impact, Foxx welcomed him onto the stage. They proceeded to jam together, with Glover even singing a few lines!

#4: Jimmy Fallon as Enrique Iglesias

“19th MTV Video Music Awards” (2002)

You’ve probably seen Fallon take on the “wheel of musical impressions” on his late night show at least once. But he really outdid himself while hosting the VMAs in 2002. His monologue was filled with iconic impressions, including a take on Avril Lavigne and her hit song “Complicated.” But the best part of the ordeal was undoubtedly when he embodied Enrique Iglesias, mole, beanie, and all. As he sang an adapted version of “Hero” with a not-so-great Spanish accent, he really honored the music video’s drama and energy. Iglesias himself seemed quite entertained, and there’s no doubt that Fallon captured his sultry essence. To this day, this performance never fails to make us chuckle.

#3: David Spade Sounds Just Like Michael J. Fox

“50th Primetime Emmy Awards” (1998)

If you close your eyes, you’d think you were watching a clip from “Family Ties” or “Back to the Future,” not the Emmys! David Spade really went all out while impersonating Michael J. Fox, nailing every bit of it - especially the voice! Fox looked rather amused, taking the joking act in stride. We’ll probably never know exactly how Spade prepared for this moment. But it’s worth noting that he was an “SNL” cast member for a time, and that the man behind Marty McFly hosted in 1991. Maybe that collaboration helped hone this impression? However it came to be, it paid off.

#2: George Lopez Is Tony Montana

“35th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Salute To Al Pacino” (2007)

Say hello to our little friend, comedian George Lopez as Tony Montana. The 35th AFI Lifetime Achievement Award honored none other than the man who made “Scarface” what it is, Al Pacino. And Lopez left an indelible mark. From the moment he came out in that white suit, Pacino and everyone else could tell he was about to deliver something epic. He didn’t disappoint, becoming the character and delivering a great speech in the process. The applause speaks for itself. So while Al Pacino was the honoree that year, George Lopez’s impression forever earned him a place in our hearts.

#1: Jim Carrey as Jack Nicholson

“32nd AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Meryl Streep” (2004)

The AFI Lifetime Achievement Award really is the gift that keeps on giving. In 2004, the honor went to legend Meryl Streep — but she’s simply too perfect to poke fun at! So when the master of impressions Jim Carrey gave his speech, he took aim at some other icons in attendance, like Robert De Niro. The stand-out moment came when the “Bruce Almighty” star impersonated the inimitable Jack Nicholson like only he can. It wasn’t his first time imitating the actor, but it was absolutely hysterical. Look no further than the crowd reaction to see what we mean. Jack Nicholson himself was laughing pretty hard, and Meryl Streep was seemingly a huge fan of the bit. What more could you possibly ask for?
