Berlin's Town Squares

Some of this European city's greatest landmarks are its streets and plazas. For example, Alexanderplatz is found in Berlin city center, and is a transportation hub. The modern plaza is known for its less-than stellar design elements, and plans for a redesign are in the works. Both Alexanderplatz and Postdamer Platz were central to Berlin's night life during the 1920s. Potsdamer was destroyed during the war, and finally rebuilt in the 1990s. One of Berlin's main focal points if the Pariser Platz, which is home to the famous Brandenburg Gate.
