Kasper From the K is a hip-hop artist born and raised in Kentucky, about two hours west of Louisville, in a town called Henderson.

While growing up, Kasper listened to Eminem, Dr. Dre, Nelly and the many other mid-eighties and nineties popular artists. He credits Southern rap quintet Nappy Roots, as the most influential, describing them as being the greatest and 100% real.

Kasper’s career took off when he reunited with childhood friend, and producer, Joel Hopper whose credits include Nappy Roots, Static Major and the Villebillies. After spending long hours in Hopper’s Louisville studio discussing their mutual love of hip-hop they began work on developing the “Kasper Sound.”

Kasper From the K quickly developed a solid following in the Tri-State area (Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana) and, after a station in Evansville, Indiana began playing his music, he came to the attention of Bill Scull who immediately signed Kasper to the EO Music label which released the single “Whatchagondo”. Since then “Whatchagondo” has been garnering airplay at radio stations all over the country where it has, consistently, been a top requested song.

Kasper has also been chosen to appear in the Xbox 360 game soundtrack for “MX vs. ATV Untamed”, alongside well-known artists such as Nickelback, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Used and My Chemical Romance.

Kasper is currently touring the U.S. promoting his single and newly released five song EP. Check out Kasper’s Myspace for more.  Check the single here!
