Ehh... I think he's a LIKELY hero, but I'd put it this way- in a fun twist, the hero isn't very heroic.

There are only so many characters on this list that aren't even the protagonist, and Marty's one of them. He was the stoner- he clearly was supposed to die. In the end he proved the most noble and heroic of any of the characters.
