Garbage on ‘Blood For Poppies’ and MTV

Formed in the mid-90s by Americans Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig. Garbage completed their lineup with Scottish singer Shirley Manson. Their 1995 self-titled debut was a surprise success and found much support through television stations like MTV that played many of their early music videos. After a brief hiatus during the late 2000s, Garbage returned to the music scene in 2012 with their fifth album, "Not Your Kind of People." In this video, speaks to Butch Vig and Steve Marker of Garbage about “Blood for Poppies, the first single from their latest album, "Not Your Kind of People,” and the changes to MTV and the music industry in general.
