Oracle Acquires BEA Systems, Adds to Crown Jewel

Oracle pays $8.5B to acquire BEA Systems.  It’s not Oracle’s biggest deal, in 2005, Larry Ellison shelled out a whopping $10.3B to acquire Peoplesoft.
