Best Beaches in Prince Edward Island

This is the only island province in Canada. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’ll be taking a look at the some of the best beaches in Prince Edward Island.

Basin Head and Brackley Beach

As it is surrounded by sand, PEI is home to Canada’s warmest beaches. Whether you’re with friends or on a romantic trip for two, be sure to walk in the sand, take a dip in the water and enjoy the sunset. Two popular spots for tourists include Basin Head, where visitors can leap off a bridge, and Brackley Beach, where you can go fishing and participate in a number of water-related activities.

Cavendish and Panmure Island

At Cavendish and the dune shores that run along the north of the island, there are also numerous activities to try. But if you just want to relax, then be sure to take the time to marvel at the red cliffs and sandy dunes. If you want to stay a little longer among nature’s best, head to Panmure Island where you can camp either on the bay beach or on the white sand ocean beach.

Lobster Party at Cedar Dunes

Since you’re so close to the ocean, having seafood in PEI is a must. While you can sample the food in one of the island’s restaurants, you should also be on the lookout for the PEI Lobster Party on the Beach as part of the Fall Flavours Culinary Festival. Held at the Cedar Dunes, the event allows participants to sample the best of both worlds by savoring fresh lobster that is cooked by different methods, including in a beach fire pit!

Lakeside at Rodd Crowbrush Golf & Beach Resort

However, if a lakeside beach is more your thing, head to the Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort on PEI’s North Shore. The luxurious hotel offers numerous amenities and services, including shuttle service to the beach. However, it is probably most famous for its challenging golf course known as The Links at Crowbush Cove. Prince Edward Island is actually a true golfer’s paradise as it has some of the best courses in North America. In addition to Crowbush, you can play multiple rounds at the Rodd Brudenell River Resort.

Not Only for Swimming

Whether you want to laze around on white sand or get your body moving with various sports and activities, you’ll find beaches to do that and much more in Prince Edward Island!
