This prompted some fans to speculate that something had happened to them, while others believed the video itself was fake. Finally, in 2019, the son popped up on an unannounced live stream to let everyone know that they were both fine and they just stopped uploading.

It was there that police found his phone after he went missing. Speculation was rampant, until someone claiming to be his girlfriend commented on his video. In the comment, Sheryon Pilgrim stated she believed he ended his life in the desert.
