Welcome to MojoPlays, and this is our list of some of the most Amazing “No Man’s Sky” Creations! In a shocking turn of events, “No Man’s Sky” has gone from 2016’s biggest disaster in gaming to one of the most lively communities in 2019. We’ve seen a ton of awesome structures from the base-building community, and these are just some of our favorites!

Time Waster
Bad_Angel_Eyes

When a game gives you a vast number of ways to create something, it can be easy to get carried away and start constantly improving upon your creation. Make it bigger, faster, stronger - you have the technology! But do you have the time? Reddit user “Bad Angel Eyes” may or may not, but they have certainly sunk a lot of time into “No Man’s Sky” as evident by their creation we’ll appropriately refer to as “Time Waster”. It’s pretty grand and elegant, in its own industrial way. We can already see our systems chugging to render this thing completely.

Portal Energy Experiment No. 2 (or “PEE-2”)
chongsparks

Originally, we were going to call this entry “A Work of Art”, but - no joke - THAT is the official name. Regardless of the tongue-in-cheek toilet humor, we stand by our words; PEE-2 is a work of art. Brimming with vibrant colors and intricate structures, PEE-2 is almost a living city. In an interview with Escapist Magazine, PEE-2’s creator, “chongsparks”, cited the “Blade Runner” franchise as a major influence in his work, and it clearly shows. If this impressed you, be sure to check out his Twitter page where he posts more of his work, his most recent one being “The Mega Pipe Factory Showroom Laboratory Theme Park Facility”!

Goomba Shrine
Noxx

Whereas most of No Man’s Sky’s players are busy toiling away at their own creations, others are devoting their materials to build homages to their favorite games. Well, “homage” is certainly one way to describe Noxx’s creation. Welcome to the Goomba Shrine, a place where you can pray to the holy, un-stomp-able Goomba. It even comes with a decorative landing pad! If you’re ever in the Eissentam Galaxy, make sure to make a stop at the planet Livaenia to pay your respects. Let’s just hope no one builds a functioning Mario to stomp this sacred structure!

Planet Express HQ
MasterZazzen

Good news, everyone! There’s a new delivery service in the game that’ll let you send items to other players easier! Okay, we lied, but after looking at this creation, we wish it was real. Seem familiar? Yep, this is a recreation of the Planet Express headquarters from “Futurama”, complete with a landing pad for your ship! Honestly, its jaw-dropping how accurate MasterZazzen’s recreation is, and it makes us wish that “Futurama” was still around just so it could do some kind of cross-promotion event with Hello Games. Maybe give us an alcoholic robot companion who can tell us to bite its shiny, metal ass?

Rapture’s Successor
jaydee0004

Andrew Ryan’s Rapture may not have turned out so well, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try again, right? We’re not the only ones who think so as Reddit user “jaydee0004” has built a massive underwater utopia that looks as if it could be inhabited by Big Daddies and Little Sisters. How long did it take for Jaydee to make this massive base? A whopping NINETY-TWO hours! While our minds went straight to “Bioshock”, others in Jaydee’s thread likened the station to Otoh Gunga, the Gungan city from “Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace”. Hey, as long as there’s no access to plasmids, boomers, or Jar Jar Binks, we’d live here!

Tribute to the Creator
Roland Oberheim

The “No Man’s Sky” community has shown Sean Murray and the folks at Hello Games their appreciation for the studio’s hard work, but the thankfulness hasn’t ended at the heartwarming billboard. One player named Rolan Oberheim has gone and immortalized the creative director by building a panel in the shape of Murray’s face. Oberheim even placed the structure on a beautiful planet that looks ripped straight from a science-fiction novel. Even Murray was touched by the kind gesture.

“The Reef” Underwater Sealab
NikaSharkeh

Jaydee’s Rapture-like (or Gungan City-like) base was impressive with its scope and intricacy. Although, we have to acknowledge another underwater base that was equally astonishing - “The Reef” Underwater Sealab by NikaSharkeh! It may not be as big as Jaydee’s, but this base is just as delightful to look at and even includes a staircase from land to the main entrance! Nika says their main inspiration derived from “Subnautica” as well as the Adult Swim series “Sealab 2021”. Yeah, we definitely got those vibes as soon as we stumbled across this!

Max Height Building
Elca

While you are virtually limited to your imagination, even “No Man’s Sky” has a technical limit to how much you can build. YouTuber “Elca” decided to test those boundaries and see just how high their tower can go. Let’s just say it is so high up that you can see it from space. This tower is so high up that when falling, it takes thirty-four seconds to reach ground level. The structure isn’t just for show, either; you can land a ship on certain floors and explore inside. Hopefully, Elca put an elevator in there for those of us who don’t wish to challenge Death.

Gorilla Villa
Bobb9y1

These bases are great and all, but are you looking for a place that’s a little more relaxing, something that feels luxurious or tropical? Some place to get away from the space battles and mining? Well, Xbox One player “Bobb9y1” has the perfect place for you! Welcome to Gorilla Villa, a futuristic cabin that looks like the ideal spot for our vacation. Spanning three stories tall, a lovely greenhouse, and surrounded by a luscious, colorful environment, Bob seems to have put a lot of thought into this base’s design. It even boasts a neat balcony hanging off the side!

Replicant City
JC Hysteria, ERBurroughs, Boid Gaming, & Action Pants Gaming

Yep, you read that right. This massive city wasn’t built by one, but FOUR players, and it was no easy feat! To celebrate the release of the “Beyond” update (which added VR functionality to the game), this group of players decided to build an industrial city covered in about as many signs as New York’s Times Square! Although, it proved to be a challenge due to the PS4’s hardware unable to handle the amount of building that needed to be done. So, the project had to be completed through glitch-building. It was a massive undertaking, but well done, guys! Our jaws are still on the floor!
