Every Cyberpunk 2077 Boss Fight RANKED
Welcome to MojoPlays, and today, we’re looking at our list of Every “Cyberpunk 2077” Boss Fight Ranked! Sounds like an insane task, yes? Well, we’re trimming it down by completely negating cyberpsychos. As cool as those fights are, there’s simply too many of them to sift through. So, we’re only counting those specific to the story or side missions. Which Cyberpunk boss fight was your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
#8: Akira
If you forgot about this dude, we do not blame you whatsoever. Akira is the most forgettable boss in the entire game. Part of that is admittedly because of his role as a boss fight during the flashback in the mission “Never Fade Away”. But the main reason is how comically easy he is to beat. You will barely realize he is running around the building because he just blends in with his other goons. So, if you fire a couple shots at a random target and see his health bar disappear, chances are you just got him. Effortlessly, too.
#7: Sasquatch
Sasquatch is perhaps the most boring boss fight we’ve faced in recent years. Her entire strategy revolves around melee attacks and…well, that’s it. She’ll try to rush you down, but chances are you have the chrome to dash out of the way or simply sprint away from her. The only defense she has of any kind is that your RAM costs to use quick hacks will be higher. So long as you have a solid arsenal (preferably a weapon that inflicts thermal damage), you’ll emerge out of this fight with minimal damage.
#6: Royce
Royce is arguably one of the most memorable villains during the early hours of “Cyberpunk 2077”. He is also one of the toughest…and most annoying, as he can negate quite a bit of damage with his shield and keep you on the run with his barrage of missiles. Then, you have the armor plating that reduces to your damage to pathetic numbers. Basically, you’re going to want to rely on headshots or target the weak spot on his back. That’s kind of the best way to deal with him as quickly and efficiently as possible.
#5: Woodman
We’ll admit that there isn’t really anything special about Woodman. He doesn’t do anything crazy or pull out some ultra-powerful weapons. He really is just a guy in a suit. So, why is he higher than Royce? Well, Royce is just loud and obnoxious. Woodman, on the other hand, can actually take you down fast because of how accurate he is with his shots. We’d take a boss that can be more of a challenge and not just throw a fiery tantrum any day.
#4: Placide
We knew something was up with Placide the second we met him. And the dude is packing some serious firepower. Of course, you’ll only have to endure this fight should you make certain choices, but if you absolutely wanna fight him, know that Placide isn’t holding back. A power shotgun, quickhacks, and insane movement make him a worthy adversary. Between his gear and his cronies, they make escaping the Voodoo Boys an incredibly fun mission!
#3: Razor Hugh
Okay, we’re probably cheating with this one since Razor Hugh isn’t exactly a boss, at least not in the same vein as our other entries. But he is the final challenge in the Beat on the Brat side missions, so you could say he is “the boss” of the line. And boy, he is tough! Razor is an absolute beefcake, boasting the biggest health bar out of all of your previous challengers and able to dish out quite a bit of damage with just a punch or two. Even with high stats, you might run into a bit of trouble trying to lay him down on the mat.
#2: Sandayu Oda
Now, THIS was a hell of a boss fight! Oda has a lethal arsenal at his disposal; mantis blades, cloaking, missile launchers, smart targeting, and more. But what really makes the fight against him a struggle is his mobility; Oda will zip around the room faster than you can fire, and the second he’s out of your field of view, he’s zipped to some other part of the room. It truly feels like the odds are stacked against you here, but play your cards right, and you’ll bring down one of Arasaka’s best.
#1: Adam Smasher
Adam Smasher was an obvious choice for our top pick. After all, this is the cyborg of infamy that we’ve heard about for the entire ninety-hour game. We’ve seen him, and he has certainly seen us. So, the build-up was pretty tense until our imminent showdown with him became a reality, and damn, he puts up a real fight! Regardless of how you built your character - netrunner, brawler, gunslinger, whatever - Adam Smasher is your ultimate test as he can utilize just about anything and everything to counter you: guns, quickhacks, explosives, melee weapons, etc. Adam Smasher may not be enough to call one of the best bosses ever, but one of the best RPG bosses? Possibly!
