Decoding Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Decoding Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
VOICE OVER: Rebecca Brayton
'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values' is a 1974 philosophy book written by Robert M. Pirsig. Following a motorcycle trip across the United States, the book also details philosophical discussions undertaken by the author and his traveling companions. While this is considered one of the world's most widely-read philosophy books, it has a reputation of being obscure. Writer and motorcycle enthusiast Mark Richardson decided, 40 years after Pirsig's journey, to recreate the trip and make sense of 'Zen.' In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com speaks with Richardson to learn more about Pirsig's original book, and to find out about his own companion book, 'Zen and Now.'
