EA Unveils NHL Slapshot for the Wii

Electronic Arts is finally making their hockey debut on the Wii, with NHL Slapshot. With a release date in September 2010, this game has attracted a lot of attention for many reasons: the exclusivity of 2K Sports is finally being challenged; Wayne Gretzky is both the cover athlete and an in-game player; and – perhaps most importantly – the game is played with a lifelike miniature hockey stick peripheral that brings a little realism to gameplay.
