Everything You Should Know About The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

The greatest video game ever made returns! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re exploring everything you should know about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Co-developed by Nintendo and Grezzo for the 3DS handheld console, it is a remake of Nintendo’s very own beloved classic.

In this adventure, Link sets out to stop Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo Tribe from obtaining the Triforce, a relic that grants the wishes of its holder. On his quest, Link must travel back and forth through time, exploring hidden dungeons and awaking sages to stop his enemy’s rise to power.

Undergoing a graphical overhaul that benefits from the technology of the 3DS, Ocarina of Time 3D expands on the 1998 N64 original in several ways.

The most prominent change, aside from the inclusion of 3D visuals, is the way players control the adventure.

These changes are the result of the 3DS’ touch screen. Using this, players can easily switch between the many items in their inventory. Furthermore, the game benefits from the system’s inclusion of gyroscopic technology. This allows you to look around the world, and aim your weapons from a first person perspective.

Aside from these many graphical and gameplay tweaks, the game’s remake includes several extras. The most prominent of which is the Master Quest, a once-Japan exclusive re-imagining of the game, which includes harder foes, a mirrored over-world and rearranged dungeons.

Ocarina 3D also features reworked areas of the game, specifically those that were originally seen as too frustrating. These include the Water Temple, which now features florescent wall patterns to help find its many switches.

In addition, Ocarina 3D includes “Boss Challenges”, an all new extra side feature that lets you fight all of the game’s bosses in one-off battles, or back to back.

And last but not least, the game includes a series of help videos called “visions”, which can be found by interacting with the game’s new Sheika Stones. These resemble larger versions of the gossip stones, and will give you hints on how to beat challenging puzzles or where you should venture next.

Making a triumphant return years after it originally wowed the gaming world, Ocarina of Time 3D is set to recapture the imagination of long-time Zelda fans, and newcomers alike.
