Our countdown includes Luke Benward, Raven Goodwin, Mia Talerico, and more! MsMojo catches up with the “Good Luck Charlie” cast.
Let’s see if the cast had good luck with the rest of their lives. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 “Good Luck Charlie” cast - where are they now?
For this list, we’ll be looking at the cast of Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie” and seeing what they’ve been up to since the show concluded in 2014.
Albrizzi wasn’t part of the main cast, but his role was nevertheless endearing and memorable. He played Gabe’s dimwitted friend and basketball teammate, Jake. Albrizzi only appeared in six episodes, although the role was spread throughout all four of the show’s seasons. Despite his small role in “Good Luck Charlie,” Albrizzi has become quite a prominent television actor. He had a main role in season three of “Foursome” and has appeared in thirteen episodes of “A.P. Bio,” playing Colin McConnell. In 2019 he landed the role of Walt on the Netflix comedy “Mr. Iglesias”, where he once again plays a character who is . . . not too bright.
Benward also appeared in six episodes of “Good Luck Charlie,” although his role was contained within the fourth and final season. He played Beau Landry, employee of Bob’s Bugs Be Gone and eventual boyfriend of Teddy. Since the show ended in 2014, Benward has appeared in many television shows, including “CSI,” “Girl Meets World,” and “Pitch.” Perhaps his biggest post- “Good Luck Charlie” role is that of Lloy Danderson on CMT’s “Still the King.” His role spanned five episodes throughout the show’s second season in 2017. As for movies, Benward has appeared in the Melissa McCarthy-led “Life of the Party” and the Netflix coming-of-age comedy “Dumplin’.”
Goodwin had a far more prominent role than the previous two actors, having starred as Teddy’s best friend Ivy for over 30 episodes. Soon after “Good Luck Charlie,” Goodwin appeared as Amy Schumer’s boss Lew in the 2017 comedy “Snatched.” Goodwin has also enjoyed substantial work on television. Between 2013 and 2019 she played Niecy Patterson in 35 episodes of the BET drama “Being Mary Jane.” And from 2017 to 2019 she starred as Eliza in the Showtime comedy “SMILF.” Unfortunately, production was hit with various misconduct allegations in late 2018 and was cancelled by ABC Studios. Goodwin also became engaged to Wiley Battle in 2019 and gave birth to her first daughter, Riley Rosa Bell, in April 2020.
Harper was another recurring actor on “Good Luck Charlie”, having played Teddy’s on-again-off-again boyfriend Spencer Walsh for 28 episodes. Since the show’s end, Harper has appeared in several TV comedies and musicals. He followed up “Good Luck Charlie” with a main role in MTV’s short-lived “Happyland”. In 2017 he appeared as a disciple in Fox’s “The Passion: New Orleans” and starred as Robbie Gould in the ABC remake of “Dirty Dancing.” He’s also starred in two of the “God’s Not Dead” movies. Between roles, he’s continued his career in music, having released his second EP, titled Like I Did, in May 2016.
Our first main actor of the series is Eric Allan Kramer, who played patriarch Bob Duncan for all 97 episodes of the series. Kramer is mainly known as a character actor and has continued in this role post “Good Luck Charlie.” Since the show’s end in 2014, Kramer has appeared in episodes of “Mike & Molly,” “Bones,” “The Librarians,” and “Mom.” In 2018 he landed his first major role since “Good Luck Charlie,” starring as Scott Wright in the AMC comedy-drama “Lodge 49.” The show ran for two seasons before concluding in October of 2019.
Dolley portrayed the eldest Duncan child P. J. Or P. P. if you want to get technical. Poor guy. Dolley took a break from acting between 2014 and 2018 but reemerged playing Dr. Hopkins in an episode of Netflix’s “The Ranch.” Since then he has appeared in a movie titled “Staged Killer” and starred as Kevin in four episodes of the ABC sitcom “American Housewife.” When he’s not acting, Dolley is streaming video games on his eponymous Twitch channel. Dolley currently has two movies in production - “Secret Agent Dingledorf and His Trusty Dog Splat” and a short movie called “The Devil’s Advocate.”
Baker portrayed the Duncan matriarch Amy throughout all four seasons and 97 episodes. Funnily enough, “Good Luck Charlie” is one of her biggest live-action roles, as Baker primarily works as a voice artist. She has lent her voice to numerous animated TV shows and video games throughout the years, including “Mass Effect” and “Gears of War 2.” Since “Good Luck Charlie,” Baker has voiced Queen Delightful in “The 7D,” Mrs. McBilly in “Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures,” and has provided numerous voices throughout “Star vs. the Forces of Evil.” She also briefly reprised her role as Ellen in the ninth season of “Will & Grace.”
Perry portrayed the middle Duncan child, Gabe. He’s continued in television since the conclusion of “Good Luck Charlie” and was the co-lead in the Disney XD series “Lab Rats: Elite Force” in 2016. He returned to Disney yet again in 2017, voicing Zevon in the animated series “Descendants: Wicked World.” Throughout 2018 he played Barrett in a web series titled “WTH: Welcome to Howler” and had a stint on “The Goldbergs” spin-off, “Schooled”, playing Alec Raday for five episodes in the show’s first and second seasons.
Playing the titular Charlie was Mia Talerico, who was just ten months old when she was cast on the show. While the producers wanted to cast a set of twins, they took a major risk with Talerico instead. Luckily, the risk paid off wonderfully. Owing to her young age, Talerico hasn’t appeared in much since her time on “Good Luck Charlie.” However, she has landed a role on Brat’s web series “Mani” playing Paige Rogge. She first appeared in the second season episode Lunch Break and has since become a regular on the series. Talerico also has her own YouTube channel titled Miatalerico101.
And finally we come to Teddy Duncan, real name Bridgit Mendler. Immediately after leaving “Good Luck Charlie,” Mendler landed the role of Candace on the NBC sitcom “Undateable.” Her role spanned two seasons and 23 episodes before the series was cancelled in 2016. Since then she’s starred in the David Spade-led “Father of the Year” and returned to TV playing Emmy Quinn in the Netflix comedy “Merry Happy Whatever.” Unfortunately, that too was cancelled in 2020. Mendler has also continued her music career. In 2016 she released her second EP, titled Nemesis, and has released the singles “Temperamental Love,” “Can’t Bring This Down,” and “Diving.”
