We've been thinking about the Hannah Montana cast. Where are they now?
“Hannah Montana” was one of the most popular Disney Channel shows of all time. So, where does acting in it get ya? Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re looking at the Hannah Montana Cast: Where Are They Now?

For this list, we’re looking at what the actors and actresses in “Hannah Montana” have been up to since the show ended in 2011.

#7: Cody Linley

Cody Linley wasn’t part of the main cast, playing recurring character Jake Ryan, Miley’s on-again, off-again boyfriend. But in 2007 the role did see him nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama). Since “Hannah Montana”, his career has remained relatively quiet. In 2012 he appeared in two episodes of the ABC Family sitcom “Melissa & Joey” and starred in a movie titled “The Playroom.” Perhaps his most substantial post-“Hannah Montana” role is that of Matthew Shepard in the “Sharknado” series, having starred in both the fourth and fifth iterations of the franchise.

#6: Moisés Arias

Moisés Arias portrayed the obnoxious Rico Suave throughout the duration of the series. Luckily, his surprisingly versatile acting chops have resulted in a solid post-“Hannah” resume. Moisés has remained in the TV business, landing recurring roles as Matt in “The Middle” and Luis in Amazon’s “Jean-Claude Van Johnson.” However, he’s also branched off into film, popping up in movies like “Ender’s Game,” “Pitch Perfect 3,” and “Five Feet Apart.” In June 2020, he’ll appear in Judd Apatow’s currently untitled movie starring Pete Davidson, further signifying his ascent in the Hollywood landscape.

#5: Billy Ray Cyrus

To absolutely everyone’s surprise, Billy Ray Cyrus is arguably more relevant now than he ever has been. Following “Hannah Montana,” Billy Ray entered a bit of a relevancy slump, but that changed in 2014 when he starred as Doctor Quint in “Sharknado 2.” Two years later, he landed the role of Vernon Brownmule in the Country Music Television sitcom “Still the King.” However, his stock really rose in 2019 when he was featured in the “Old Town Road” remix, which proceeded to break Billboard records and become the hottest song in a generation. Well, maybe not, but it certainly felt like it at the time.

#4: Jason Earles

Fun fact - Jason Earles was 29 years old when he began playing 16-year-old Jackson Stewart. Now that is one heck of an age discrepancy! Regardless, it kicked off an acting career that’s still carrying him forward. Immediately following “Hannah Montana,” Jason starred as Rudy Gillespie in the Disney XD series “Kickin’ It,” a comedy centering around a failing dojo. He’s also voiced characters in the web series “The Most Popular Girls in School”. In 2016 he began appearing in web shows geared towards young audiences, including “WTH: Welcome to Howler” and “Hotel Du Loone.” He’s certainly found his niche and seems to be firmly sticking to it.

#3: Mitchel Musso

Mitchel Musso had a killer career going for him in the early 2010s. Following “Hannah Montana,” Musso continued his work on “Phineas and Ferb,” where he voiced Jeremy Johnson until 2015. He also starred as King Brady in Disney XD’s “Pair of Kings” and landed the coveted hosting gig on “PrankStars.” However, he was charged with a DUI suspicion in 2011, and while he accepted responsibility, he was fired from “Pair of Kings”, and “PrankStars” was cancelled. Since that time, he’s appeared in various movies, including gore flick “The Sand” and the comedy “Characterz.” He’s also voiced Jeremy Johnson in “Milo Murphy’s Law.”

#2: Emily Osment

Emily Osment was an established child actress before appearing on “Hannah Montana,” having starred as Gerti Giggles in “Spy Kids 2” and “Spy Kids 3-D.” However, “Hannah Montana” seems to have changed her career trajectory, as she now spends a majority of her time on TV. From 2013 to 2014, Emily starred as Roxie on the Crackle series “Cleaners,” and has also landed recurring roles on “Mom” and “The Kominsky Method.” Perhaps her most substantial role is that of Gabi Diamond in “Young & Hungry,” a romantic sitcom that aired on Freeform from 2014 to 2018. She also stars opposite Brittany Snow in the 2019 Fox drama “Almost Family,” playing a retired Olympic athlete.

#1: Miley Cyrus

If you don’t know what Miley Cyrus has been up to in recent years, then we revoke your internet pass. Since “Hannah Montana” ended in 2011, Miley has released four studio albums and a string of hit singles, including “We Can’t Stop”, “Malibu”, and of course “Wrecking Ball”. Her fourth album “She Is Miley Cyrus” is being released as a series of EPs. In 2014, she also established her own non-profit organization, the Happy Hippie Foundation, focused on youth homelessness and the LGBT community. Since “Hannah Montana”, her public image has undergone some HUGE transformations, but no matter what she does, Miley’s still in the limelight!
