Seventy-two surfers met at the beach break of Les Bourdaines for the Swatch Girls Pro France 2011. The surfers were greeted with 4ft swell and strong currents, tough conditions for the start of Round 1. Due to windy conditions, Round 2 was postponed to the next day. This surfing event will be a turning point in the season, determining whether the surfers will either maintain a position or qualify on the 2012 WCT.
