#10: “Assetto Corsa EVO” (2025)

While the original “Assetto Corsa” game from 2014 already offered an optional VR mode that was praised for the time, its successor takes things to another level. The game’s developer, Kunos Simulazioni, says it will include iconic vehicles from across motoring’s history, including road cars, classics, hypercars, and race cars. Every vehicle in the game is faithfully recreated through “an advanced system that simulates mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic performance, combined with the fidelity of the circuits created using Laserscan technology.” The game was created with the developer’s new engine, allowing for photorealistic graphics and VR with triple-screen support. Those interested in the game can try it out now in early access!

#9: “Boxing Underdog” (2025)

Coming to the Meta Quest VR headset in February 2025, “Boxing Underdog” is a boxing simulator that claims to be the most realistic of its kind. And with lifelike graphics and “100% physics-based gameplay”, the game may just deliver an unparalleled boxing experience. “Boxing Underdog” contains both a single-player and multiplayer mode, and gamers can create their own customizable player character. In career mode, your player-created boxer can fight their way to the top of the boxing world — and the game also includes a training mode that teaches authentic boxing techniques! You might never feel more like Rocky himself than after playing this game!

#8: “Beyond Blue: After the Storm” (2025)

“Beyond Blue: After The Storm” for the Meta Quest takes players to the ocean depths to repair the damage to an underwater research station following a severe tropical storm. Developed in consultation with leading ocean experts, the aquatic adventure is a follow-up to its 2020 non-VR predecessor “Beyond Blue”. You’ll play as multiple different characters across the course of the game, each with their own abilities, as you explore, encountering rare undersea creatures along the way. There’s an educational slant to the experience as well, as players can unlock mini-documentaries about the real-life sentience behind the game, providing a unique learning opportunity.

#7: “One True Path VR” (2025)

Developed by InnerspaceVR, the studio behind “A Fisherman’s Tale”, “One True Path VR”’s first part can be tried out now by players in early access. The narrative-focused game was developed to appeal to "new players and fans of old-school paper-and-pencil adventuring alike." The post-apocalyptic spin on a VR shooter centers around the mystery of who killed reclusive writer Jack Stevenson. As you jump through the dimensions of the author’s Fiendish Fates book series, you’ll be treated to a unique blend of puzzle and action gameplay while the story unfolds.

#6: “Fitness Fables” (2025)

Polish indie developer Immersion Games is set to deliver a unique blend of fitness and action adventure gameplay with “Fitness Fables” for the Meta Quest. The game is packed with content, including 80 levels and 16 boss fights. And with 24 different exercises — including power squats, rope swings, sky presses, battle ropes, punching and rowing, and more, you’re sure to get a solid workout while you traverse the realms of Alterterra. The difficulty can be customized to your preference, making it an appealing adventure for both beginners and experienced fitness buffs. 'Fitness Fables' not only offers an exciting gaming experience but also a fun way to stay active and healthy.

#5: “Orion Drift” (2025)

Developer Another Axiom made a name for themselves with the multiplayer VR phenomenon “Gorilla Tag”. The studio's newest endeavor, which can now be played in early access, combines the immersive movement of that title with some of the mechanics from their sports game “Echo VR”. The game supports a whopping 200 players for the ultimate social VR experience, with plenty of activities to enjoy and quests to be completed. As a robot, you can explore The Orion, a massive ship featuring various districts, including Driftball, Parkour, and Club. But you can just hang out and socialize with friends, making it a perfect game for those who value social connections in their gaming experience!

#4: “Pirates VR: Jolly Roger” (2025)

VR? More like V-ARRRRR…get it? It’s a pirate’s life for you when you play “Pirates VR: Jolly Roger”. In this swashbuckling adventure, the player sets off searching for Davy Jones's fabled treasure alongside their loyal parrot companion. Along the way, they’ll have to use their wits as they explore a mysterious Caribbean island and solve tricky puzzles. Players will also use various scavenged weapons to fight off enemies, including cursed skeletons and ghostly spirits! It's a must for VR enthusiasts or anybody who just likes to pretend they’re Jack Sparrow sometimes.

#3: “Train Sim World VR: New York” (2025)

The popular Train Sim World series is coming to Meta Quest courtesy of developers Dovetail Games and Just Add Water. “Train Sim World VR: New York” is an urban train simulator themed around New York state. According to the developers, you’ll chug along the rails of an authentic New York City and “discover the stations of Manhattan and The Bronx across a recreation of the MTA Harlem Line between Grand Central Terminal and North White Plains." The game offers both a campaign and individual journeys, as well as an exploration mode!

#2: “Human Within” (2025)

An interactive movie with branching storylines, “Human Within” features a compelling science fiction plot with timely commentary on the use of artificial intelligence. Your choices throughout the game will dictate the twists and turns the uniquely-told story takes along the way. Think “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” on Netflix or Telltale’s “The Walking Dead” game. During backstory segments, the player is placed in the middle of a 360-degree flashback, and they can freely look around. Other segments place you in the role of an all-seeing computer, hacking systems by completing 3D puzzles.

#1: “Arken Age” (2025)

Explore the beautiful, mysterious world of the Bio-Chasm as you play a biological alien weapon protecting your home from robot invaders alongside your allies. There are 25 dense areas to traverse by jumping, crawling, swimming, or even climbing using your avatar's extendable pickaxes. Players will also engage in strategic, physics-based combat using customizable melee and ranged weapons, such as a sword or laser pistol, that can be upgraded and modified later on. Starting with three fully customizable weapons, you can collect 30 unique mods to adjust them to your liking. Is there another VR world you’re looking to immerse yourself in during 2025?
