You couldn’t pay an anger management therapist nearly enough to deal with these cases. Welcome to Watchmojo.com and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Angriest Anime Characters. For this list, we’re looking at the characters with the shortest fuses. The collateral damage they leave in a rampage is pretty sizeable. #10: Eren Yeager

Anime Duel: Guts vs Eren Yeager

“Attack on Titan” (2013-) In a world where human-eating Titans pose a constant, daunting threat, Eren Yeager seems to be one of the few willing to stand and fight. That might have a little to do with the detail involving his mother get eaten by one of the fiendish creatures. That’s probably enough to make any impressionable kid revenge-driven against Titans. There are few that have perfected the death-glare quite like our favorite survey corps member. There are even far fewer that can cause such a catastrophic temper tantrum as Eren is his Transformed Titan state. They say violence begets violence, buuut at least he has a pretty good means of stress relief.

#9: Donquixote Donflamingo

“One Piece” (1999-) As captain of the Donquixote Pirates, Donflamingo is one of the strongest pirates sailing the seas. Incredibly arrogant and confident in his own power, Donflamingo rules Dressrosa with an iron fist. Much of his anger can be attributed to some pretty dark moments in his past. But the more he buries it, the crueler he seems to become. As a result, Donflamingo is a bit of a sadist, torturing his enemies long before he finishes them off. He’s also not above harshly dealing with crewmates for being weak minded. Pray you don’t end up traveling with this Shichibukai.

#8: Edward Elric

“Fullmetal Alchemist Franchise” (2003-10) The titular Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward is one of the most outstanding and accomplished Alchemists in his field. He’s also prone to some of the most violent of outbursts. Now it could be because of the history behind his and his brother’s tragic transformations. Or perhaps because of the shocking truths behind the much sought after Philosophers stone. Good enough reasons… but the most likely thing to make Edward mad is calling him short. Even if it’s never outright spoken or implied, mention Ed’s size just a teeny bit (no pun intended) and you’re in for a world of hurt.

#7: Ira Gamagoori

Top 10 Most Popular Anime Characters

“Kill La Kill” (2013-14) This guy is large, in charge and full of fury. As the leader of the Student Disciplinary Committee at Honnouji Academy, Gamagoori is, in a word, the law. He steps onto the scene whenever a student makes the slightest infraction. Punishments are always severe, as is the lecture Gamagoori gives just before handing down the sentence. Incredibly loyal to his commanding officer, Satsuki Kiriyuin, Gamagoori will not tolerate slackers, tardiness or upstarts, like Ryuko Matoi, who threaten the strict measures of his beloved academy. As if belligerence wasn’t enough, Gamagoori’s sexual frustrations seem to add to the mix.

#6: Ryūnosuke Tanaka

Also in:

Top 20 Surprisingly Overpowered Anime Characters

“Haikyuu! (2014) Here’s a character whose anger can be put to use in a positive manner. As a key team member of Karasuno’s Volleyball team, Ryūnosuke has a mean streak that’s nigh unstoppable. He does have a penchant for trying to start fights outside of the court though. Ryūnosuke is also one of the best examples of team spirit out there. Get him fired up and he’ll use his rage as a megaphone to cheer on his teammates to victory. He’s loud and obnoxious, but Ryūnosuke is the positive kind of fury you want on your team. Just make sure you call him Senpai.

#5: Asuka Langley Soryu

“Neon Genesis Evangelion” (1995-96) When it comes to saving the world from the apocalypse, you need the best. Asuka has always advertised herself as such. In her mind, she is the only Eva pilot worth her salt. Naturally, this hides deep emotional scars from childhood. In her quest for acceptance, Asuka’s inner turmoil boils over constantly. This results in poor performance and regular scream offs with her teammates, who get a bit more attention than she does. Whether or not Shinji or Rei are better pilots, one thing is certain: it’s best to keep an angry Asuka on your side of the battle.

#4: Guts

“Berserk” (1997-98) If the title didn’t give it away, this warrior has been betrayed so many times, he’s practically foaming at the mouth. Apply that anger to a big ass sword and you’ve got one of the deadliest fighters in Anime. Once he gets going, few can quell the rage of Guts. On many occasions, his own brilliant, tactical mind is shrouded behind his ferocious fighting nature. But who can blame him? After finally recovering from a hellacious childhood and finding a new home among the band of the hawks, someone just had to go and awaken the behelit, slaughter his friends, and do unmentionable things to his girl. Man, now we’re getting mad.

#3: Revy

“Black Lagoon” (2006-) This bad-ass woman sports a rocking bod, questionable fashion sense and a set of skills that would make even John Woo gush. A orphan who was victimized many times in her youth, Revy buries that hurt deep down and puts it to good use in her job as a hired gun. The definition of an anti-hero, Revy will pout down almost anyone if the price is right, whether it be a ship full of neo-nazis or just the sailors who run the boat. A woman of little words, when Revy isn't letting her guns to the talking, colourful language certainly emphasizes the animosity she feels for almost every other human being she's ever met.

#2: Vegeta

Also in:

Top 20 Times Vegeta Went Beast Mode In Dragon Ball

“Dragon Ball Franchise” (1986-) Vegeta should have it all. He’s the prince of Saiyans. He’s one of the strongest fighters in the universe. Aaand, he’s got a pretty fine wife - So why is he so mad all the time? Well none of that seems to matter since he’s constantly outclassed in almost every way by stronger opponents. Worse yet, no matter how hard he trains, how hard he screams, Vegeta can never seem to reach the level of his chief rival Goku. It should be noted that anger is a key element to making a Saiyan stronger. So getting pissed off works in Vegeta’s favor...well maybe sometimes. Before we reveal our top pick, here are a few Honorable Mentions: Sakura “Naruto” (2002-07) Inuyasha “Inuyasha” (2000-10) Tae Shimura “Gintama” (2006-) Mamoru Takamura “Hajime no Ippo” (2000-10)

#1: Shizuo Heiwajima

“Durarara” (2011-16) What’s there such a ruckus in the pleasant streets of Tokyo? Why it’s from none other than everyone’s favorite Ikebukero strongman, Shizuo. Don’t let his appearance fool you. He may look like a chill bartender with a particularly cool fashion-sense. But simply bump into him and the fireworks will fly. Possessing amazing strength, it’s pretty tough to get Shizuo to calm down before a lamppost or vending machine goes flying at his opponents. And word to the wise: never mention “Izaya Orihara” to him. Why? Well…that’s why. Shizuo Heiwajima, the angriest man in Ikebukero and perhaps in all of Anime. Do you agree with our list? What character do you think has the highest level of anger issues? For other fire filled Top 10’s published daily, be sure to subscribe to Watchmojo.com
