However, like Belle when she overlooked the exterior and grew to love the beast, we can also find it in our hearts to overlook Disney’s multiple attempts to cash in on this film’s success with many awful direct-to-video sequels. Whatever happened to “happily ever after?”

This epic narrative blends a beautiful story with fantastic songs, and includes computer animation without detracting from the hand-drawn work. It’s easy to see why this has remained the most successful traditionally animated film of all-time.
