Fun fact, despite having alien powers, Sasami has accomplished many feats just with only her culinary skills. If aliens can master our Earth cuisine, whats next?
#6: Sunako Nakahara
“The Wallflower” (2006-07)
Low self esteem can cause one to dive headfirst into a hobby as a means of escapism. The main protagonist of “The Wallflower”, Sunako doesn’t have a high opinion of herself due to past trauma. Despite this, Sunako, who lives with five rather useless men, proves she is a rather fantastic cook and takes over the culinary duties of the household. Unlike many of our other entries this gal has a rather horrifying flair to her cooking. Let’s just say, stay out of the kitchen.
#5: Teuchi
“Naruto” series (2002-)
Sometimes when you are feeling blue, a nice bowl of ramen can cheer you up. If this is the case, come on down to Ramen Ichiraku!Manning the helm is Teuchi, head chef of Ramen Ichiraku and personal friend to the series’ titular hero. A very kind man and possibly the master of ramen, if you get a hand on his dish you will not be disappointed. His recipe is sought by thieves and connoisseurs around the world. Now only if we can get our hands on that recipe.
#4: Azuma Kazuma

You have his solar hands to thank for that.
#3: Liu Mao Xing
“Chūka Ichiban!” (1997-98)
If we know anything from anime, its that the student often surpasses the master. Praised as a culinary genius at only 13, Mao was sent by General Lee to train as a Super Chef, thus becoming the youngest in history. What makes him unique, beyond having the skills of a Super Chef, is that he is able to remember every food he has eaten with his amazing taste buds. Do you need a creative dish that looks delicious and tastes even better? Look no further, Mao at your service.
#2: Sanji

Not only is Sanji one bad ass pirate, he is a fantastic chef to boot. The fifth member to join Luffy on his quest for treasure, Sanji serves as the main cook for the Straw Hat Pirates. Since he lives on the open seas, seafood dishes are his specialty and he will provide anyone with a warm meal to not go hungry. Sanji’s goal is to discover the All Blue, a region where oceans from all directions meet. He definitely can defend himself, learning to fight using only his legs to protect his hands, the most important tool of any chef.
Before we cook up our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Rin Okumura
“Blue Exorcist” (2011)
Barry the Chopper

Despite his weakness in the field, his mastery of spices and exotic ingredients bring joy to everyone who tastes one of his dishes.
