VOICE OVER: Rebecca Brayton WRITTEN BY: Tiffany Dai
We can't tell these celeb doppelgangers apart. For this list, we'll be looking at the most notable celebrity impersonators and lookalikes who rose to fame for their likenesses and other talents. Our countdown includes April Gloria - Taylor Swift, Chad Michaels - Cher, David Born - Robin Williams, and more!

#10: Kamilla Osman - Kim Kardashian

Though Kim K’s distinctive features may be difficult to copy, this Azerbajiani-Canadian blogger bears a striking resemblance to the reality star. Osman has a humorous outlook on her likeness, even calling herself the “Walmart version” of Kim. As flattered as she is to hear that she looks just like Kim K, Osman maintains her own self of sense apart from the star. The two even met briefly in 2016 when Osman appeared as a guest on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” However, we wouldn’t be surprised if things got a little dramatic, especially because this doppelganger dated Tyga for a few months after his relationship with Kylie Jenner ended in 2017.

#9: April Gloria - Taylor Swift

This cosplayer was first noted by Instagram users for her similarity to the “Anti-Hero” singer in 2017. While Gloria’s features are somewhat like Swift’s, the cosplayer used her makeup abilities to highlight their similarities. The short blonde bob, bold lip, and cat eyeliner totally seals the deal. Although Gloria is a fan of Swift’s and has shared her favorite songs from the 2022 release of “Midnights,” it’s clear that she’s distancing herself from the comparison. Recently, her Taylor looks are few and far between many high-quality Elder Scrolls and Witcher cosplay outfits. This might have you thinking that it’s high time for a Taylor Swift-inspired video game.

#8: Kate Shumskaya - Scarlett Johansson

One result of being a celebrity doppelganger is the strange world of opportunity that social media can open up. Kate Shumskaya, who first became aware of her similarity to the “Lost in Translation” star when she was 12, was able to move to Moscow to pursue a career in modeling. This ScarJo lookalike gained popularity on TikTok for her Black Widow cosplays, even appearing with a Margot Robbie lookalike for a Harley Quinn and Black Widow crossover. However, for some lookalikes, the act can get old. In a 2021 interview, Shumskaya expressed that she wants “to live [her] own life, not Scarlett’s.” Despite this, it’s heartwarming to hear that the doppelganger still hopes to meet Johansson someday.

#7: Derrick Barry - Britney Spears

Britney Spears impersonator Derrick Barry got his start on “America's Got Talent” in 2008. In this performance of “Toxic,” 24-year-old Barry whips off his hat and sunglasses to reveal his likeness to the princess of pop. Since this appearance, Barry has appeared as Britney in music videos for Eminem and Katy Perry. The impersonator’s fame grew as he finished third in the eighth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and even earned a spot on the fifth season of the drag reality show’s “All Stars” competition. If you’re lucky, you might still be able to catch Derrick in the rotating cast for the Vegas residency “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!”

#6: Chad Michaels - Cher

Chad Michaels has been impersonating Cher since he was 22, achieving notice with his iconic season 4 appearance on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” On the drag contest show, Michaels was a favorite for his sense of humor and versatile looks and won the very first “All Stars” season. With a collection of flowing wigs and outlandish outfits, Michaels has since appeared as Cher on shows such as “2 Broke Girls,” “Jane the Virgin,” and “American Horror Story.” As one of the most famous Cher impersonators, Michaels has met the Goddess of Pop herself. Since then, he has continued his impressionist work on the Burlesque tour with Farrah Moan, a drag lookalike of Christina Aguilera.

#5: Paige Niemann - Ariana Grande

Niemann's Tiktok impersonations of Ariana Grande first went viral when she was 14. Beyond her styling and natural resemblance of Grande, Niemann was able to imitate the singer’s facial expressions to a “t.” However, some tweets from Grande in 2020 implied that she was not a fan of impersonations based on her “Victorious” role as Cat Valentine. As Niemann’s impersonations were heavily based on this ditzy, lovable character, we can see why the popstar is trying to move past her Nickelodeon days. Since then, it was unsurprising to hear that this doppelganger is no longer a fan of Ari.

#4: David Born - Robin Williams

It’s certainly an achievement to be able to emulate a comedian’s voice, cadence, and sense of humor. While Robin Williams was undoubtedly one-of-a-kind, actor David Born has faithfully worked as an impersonator of the actor for over 25 years. Born has made appearances in “Community” and “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” but he really took the role to heart on “The Price of Fame,” a series about private struggles on the road to success. Thanks to celebrity impressionists like Born, we can remember the lives of those who brought us light and laughter.

#3: Marc Martel - Freddie Mercury

When auditions opened for the Queen Extravaganza tour, a 2012 tribute project started by Queen’s original drummer, no one expected to see the spitting image of Freddie Mercury. In his submission video, Marc Martel sang “Somebody to Love,” and it’s easy to see how the video reached one million views in just a few days. His talent and vocal similarity to Mercury earned him a place as one of the contest winners and four years of performing with the tour project. More recently, you may have heard Martel in the 2018 “Bohemian Rhapsody” biopic. While Rami Malek offered some of his singing talents to the film, Martel recorded a majority of the vocals for this depiction of Freddie Mercury.

Ty Jones has been the subject of multiple viral videos for his likeness to the “Shape of You” singer. With collaborations with Vice and Josh & Archie, this actor from Manchester has pursued a professional career as an Ed Sheeran lookalike, even learning how to play the guitar for the role. To give you an idea of how convincing Ty is, a 2021 interview with Ed Sheeran involved a video-call comparison of four lookalikes. The other supposed doppelgangers can’t hold a candle to Jones’s similarity to Sheeran. As true fans of the singer, not only did Jones and his wife name their first daughter after Sheeran’s wife, Cherry, they also attended Ed’s concert hours after she was born. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. #1: Navi - Michael Jackson

The King of Pop himself could never be replaced, but this impersonator from Trinidad is a very impressive lookalike. Evidently, Navi received approval when he received a standing ovation from MJ himself. With vocal and dance abilities on par with the singer’s, Navi starred as Jackson in the 2017 biopic “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland.” This performer has been a Michael Jackson lookalike for over two decades, with many unique opportunities working for the star, such as performing at his birthday parties and serving as a decoy on a few world tours. While Jackson’s impact on music will never fade, devoted impressionists like Navi keep the spirit of his performances alive.
